Motto:
When discussing hierarchy, most designers like to start with the header or caption, I like to start with an idea. Capture a great idea and the rest will fall into place.

Advice for students about to graduate:
Dream in pixels, bleed vectors, let typography complete you, but most importantly, never underestimate the power of a great idea! Study sociology and popular culture.

Designers you admire:
Paul Rand, Kyle Cooper, the guys over at MK12, Alphonse Mucha, Milton Glaser, Massimo Vignelli, Marian Bantjes, Pablo Picasso, Saul Bass, and Herb Lubalin.

Favorite books on design or business:
How to be a Graphic Designer, Without Losing Your Soul, Adrian Shaughnessy; The Looking Closer series, Michael Bierut and others; The Elements of Typographic Style, Robert Bringhurst.
